Horsens has a lot of supermarkets, but we will focus on the ones that have best prices and Tilbudsavis.
REMA 1000
Cheapest on the list, but not the best quality. Perfect for students on a tight budget.
Hard to find nearby you in Horsens, but worth the search.
Does the job, and you can find most of the things you need. Even asian, indian, and other international cousine products.
Netto
Also cheap and widely available in Horsens. If you don't have REMA nearby, go there.
Vast number of products to choose from.
Bilka
Prices vary a lot, but you can find some really good deals.
Buy meat here as Bilka is known for its great bulk prices, especially for MANY kinds of meat.
Only 1 in Horsens. Though, it is located in the next to the main square, so it is not that hard to do grocery shopping there.
What is Tilbudsavis and how to use it?
Tilbudsavis is a real savior. It is a weekly advertisement from supermarkets that shows you the best deals and discounts for the week. It is a great way to save money on your grocery shopping.
You can find Tilbudsavis in most supermarkets, but you can also check it online on their websites or apps. Here are some links to the most popular ones:
You can use eTilbudsavis app to have all the offers in one place. It is available for both Android and iOS devices. You can download it from the following links:
This is quite redundant, as Horsens doesn't have crazy variety of fast foods, but ill try to recommend some anyway...
Burger Concept - got a small rebrand recently, but still you can get full for cheap.
Olivia's Horsens - a must visit spot. Their sandwiches are top notch and cost 65DKK.
Döner Haus - kebab place, they have a bit different kebab than competition. You need to try to know if you like it. Approx. 75DKK
Great sushi - all you can eat for 250DKK per person (even cheaper if before 3PM). In my honest opinion, best sushi spot in Horsens.
Chinese take-away - any of those in Horsens will work. Cheap, fast and tasty. Especially after hours, sometimes you can get a nice deal.
Please be aware that the recommendations are all by my own opinion. Don't hesitate to try and experiment with other places. You might find a hidden gem!
What about second-hands?
Bad news, Horsens doesn't have great second-hand cloth stores. Unfortunately, you would need to take a trip to Aarhus or Copenhagen.
I don't count Bla kors or Rod kors. You can try to look around and maybe find something, but from experience, I couldn't find anything specific. There is one place behind Bilka that has women section with clothes, but that's all.
